So I haven't posted much in my gallery lately [and what is posted I'm quite ashamed of art wise; pageant stuff the exception of course], and especially haven't posted any journals. It's just a pain in the butt to take the time to figure out what to scan and edit and upload [that's why my youtube channel is so neglected, despite all the content I have waiting to be posted]. I have quite a few head sketches I could nice up and upload, and soon some full body studies.
I suppose I'll get the life update out of the way before I go on to talking about Halloween. I graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Media Arts and Animation back in June, had a birthday party, then a graduation party, then I moved in with my grandma. Having floor space and a room I can do whatever I want with/in again is pretty great. I even have a spiffy desk. But don't go fluttering your eyelashes at me trying to get pictures of my bedroom, I'm trying not
to be so self indulgent thank you very much.
Apologies this will likely be disjointed as thoughts come to me. My diploma finally came in the mail and it is almost time for me to finally pick up that stylus and get to animating and doing some serious drawing again. College will murder your soul, reignite any fire in your belly, then murder your soul again, and then it's all up to you to light that fire once again. I started writing again for the first time in a long time today. Literally today. Finished a ten page script and jotted down brain matter about Geronimo.
But of course Fallout 4 comes out in four days so it might be a few weeks before anything truly serious starts happening with me [but that's ok because how often does a title this big get released?]. Job searching is slow and fruitless, and it is quite apparent it's time for me to get a new car. Being an adult sucks butts. Overhauled my music library the other day. I'm technically nowhere near done because I still have tons of music to go through and sort, but done for a long time for the two days of work I did.
And I've fallen pretty hard for one Chris Pratt, and NOW I've fallen quite deeply and irrevocably in love with Handsome Jack. Fucking hell, life was hard enough when I kept getting crushes on those little youtubers, now we're back to video game characters? I'm not a teenager any more god dammit my heart doesn't need or condone this.
That's pretty much all the abridged updates with me. Ok well two more things.
First I was a student volunteer at SIGGRAPH back in August. It was a big convention with all the latest animation/video game/etc. industry technology and panels and things. Overload of information but super awesome. I saw awesome virtual reality stuff I otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to check out, learned about t-shirt design printing technology [which is awesome because I have a t-shirt design needing printing], played with beautiful intuos technology, learned a lot about 3D printing, met some cool folks, and rode Toothless! And all the after parties.
And second, back in April, just after I officially graduated college and before the graduation ceremony, I went to Japan. To model! THAT was incredible. I traveled and ate so much and wore a giant lioness costume and made wonderful friends and I'll never get over it. We traveled to different places either teaching a seminar or doing a show called "Alice goes to the Carnival." It was a very beautiful and inspiring show. Anyway, I'll share a few pictures of that. Modeling's been going well too.
. I try to be brief and then I talk too much. Always is the way with me and writing. First let me say I have a Halloween picture that's been in the works and I'm sure I'll post it around December just because I don't want to wait a year.
My friends and I love Halloween, so they always throw a big party and I help host it. This year's theme was Superhero Masquerade. Unfortunately despite my best efforts pictures are rather lacking, but I'll share some of what I have. I was Emma Frost, Tim was Iron Fist, Nick was Gambit, Nancy was Wonder Woman, Maya was Tank Girl, and Ethan was Spider-man. Everyone did awesome. I just very foolishly didn't think to get a photo of all of us together. Also Tim can be found here on DA . I highly recommend either watching him or visiting his page at the end of the month and then making that decision because that's when he'll be uploading something special!
Pretty much all my friends live together in one house, so we all decorate it and this year we went all out. I decorated the couch area and made it the Hellfire Club. Outside we had a Spider-man table area with pretty lights, we had an Avengers Tower, the Bat Cave upstairs, Gotham and beer pong in the garage, a Riddler wall, and an Inifinity Bar with glow in the dark jello shots and plenty of spider webs. Of course all my photos are from the week before the party [except the ones of me in costume], so not everything is 100% done.
I also hand made a chandelier for the Hellfire Club and that definitely took the longest of any of the Halloween decorations. But I love it.
You can kind of see Tim in this photo:

We all love Halloween and we already have next year's theme planned [which is all the horror and Halloween classics]. I already know what I want to be and everything. XD
